Tonight on Smallville there's a ten-minute preview of Batman Begins, two minutes of which are online at the main BB site. I'm really likin' this.

There's also the new trailer for Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Yeah yeah yeah!

And, there's the teaser for The Da Vinci Code. Cast from hell, scriptwriter from Hell. (At some point I'm gonna have to see A Beautiful Mind, to find out how the Academy could've possibly believed the man who wrote Lost In Space and the last two Batman films deserved an Oscar.)

A Beautiful Mind actually wasn't bad. I wouldn't have chosen to pay to see it, but I'm glad I did.

A BEAUTIFUL MIND was effin' brilliant. The writer needs to stay away from the SF genre, is all.

I didn't much care for THE DA VINCI CODE honestly. I found it annoyingly simplistic. Maybe I'm too well versed in my Da Vinci for any of it to constitute a "mystery", or maybe I'm just an intelligent life form.

"Annoyingly simplistic" is putting it incredibly generously. It was mind-blowingly poorly written, and flat-out stupid as far as the "mystery" is concerned. I actually found myself yelling at the audiobook a few times when the characters were being especially idiotic.

I can only hope that Hollywood's frequent habit of making movies that have very little to do with their source books holds true this time. It might actually help a little.

[smile] I was really trying to be diplomatic. I'm glad to see I'm not alone in my opinion, amongst the hordes of fans this book seems to have.

You and I are not the only ones who think so. :)

A Beautiful Mind was really good, I thought. I've watched it a couple of times just for the music, even, which is utterly gorgeous.

thanks!

I really appreciate all of your news on what's happening in the media. I'd be so out of it otherwise!

I have to kiss you now for alerting me to the Wallace and Gromit movie!!! I was just thinking the other day that it really sucks that there aren't more of them becsue my boys actually love them, we actually love them, and they are pretty inoffensive. Sigh...

RE: A beautiful Mind - I haven't seen it yet but many people say it's good I think. (or wait, maybe I'm thinking of Eternal SUnshine of the SPotless mind... hmmm... beautiful/spotless... ;-)
