You haven't read 'em!? Wow, are you in for a treat. One of the only series to compete in scope with Narnia and LOTR, in my view. The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass. Not chuckle-stuff, no no no no no.

I have intercepted one rumor that NZ would not issue a permit to bring in reindeer, so they used a different [and scarier] Arctic animal instead. The rest looks pretty plausible.
