Ooh. OOOOOOH.

Suddenly, I no longer feel the lack of a new LotR movie. Not at ALL.

And I certainly feel better about THIS than War of the Worlds.

Okay.. Yes, Jackson is right.. Giant Gorilla's can't exist after the 1930's, so happy he kept it set then.

The Look and Feel is very nice, but somehow still doesn't look right in color.. too many years watching the original I suppose.

Speaking of the original, the look, the landscape of the island is perfect, right out of O'Brien's studios.

Was a little nervous about the casting, especially Jack Black, but I'm relieved, looking good there.

Now.. KONG, Eighth Wonder of the World. Looking good. No, I don't think they'll make the 'scale' mistake, looks like he'll remain a consistant height.

Okay, bring it on.. can't wait till December!

It looks good

I jsut hope that they don't make the same mistake that they made in the original, and have him be so much bigger than humans in part, and much less bigger in other parts.

General agreement with all of you. Black seems to do much better than I feared, Brody looks real good, Watts good if not great, the island looks fantastic, and the "look-and-feel" work well for me. I don't mind the color -- this is supposed to be a remake, and one of the differences must be that.

Kong looks frickin' awesome. And I noticed two things: First, as [livejournal.com profile] drzarron and [livejournal.com profile] joshbrown mentioned, it does look as if Kong is kept to a consistent height -- and perhaps a good deal smaller than the original, perhaps only twenty feet high. The advantages of modern filmmaking technology.

Second, Andy Serkis gets credit on the poster. YEAH!
