Unconfirmed, but word from creator Shaun Cassidy at the San Diego ComiCon is that American Gothic will be out on DVD October 25.

Good news. Pity it never actually came to anything like a conclusion...but then, the same could be said of so many other good shows.

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com is listing it (I just got a letter from them, as I'd marked it was one I wanted info on) stating much the same thing. Sounds REALLY good...now I can finally see more than the first 3 episodes, and see what everyone has been raving about.

Shaun Cassidy? Wasn't he one of the Hardy Boys on TV in the late 70's/early 80's?

The very same. Turns out he's also a hell of a writer. In fact, there's -- no, I'm not gonna spoil it. ;)

Wow, and here I thought I was being facetious. This is what I get for never watching television anymore...

*googling* oh lordy okay, I remember this show. Intensely surreal small-town horror? Very Joe R. Lansdale-ish? Okay,. this I'll have to watch out for, ginchy, thanks for the heads up :)

The B5 of horror. Period. Sheriff Lucas Buck, as played by Gary Cole, is the most evil character ever. Makes Darth Sidious look like a poopyhead. Makes Voldemort look like an old lady in a housecoat. Would eat the Borg for lunch while having his way with Seven of Nine, assimilated or not.

Suddenly I'm all a-flutter. It's so hard to find a really good (so to speak) villain these days. It seems they're all just misguided or misunderstood or some such. There's an unfortunate lack of good, fun, old-fashined evil any more.
