Dammit. Lost one of the ones I trusted. Former ABC News anchorman Peter Jennings passed away today at the age of 67 from lung cancer. He wasn't quite Cronkite, but he was pretty damn good.
I always liked Jennings, he always came off that he was talking to us, not reading to us. His calm, thoughtful words and had no fear to allow his emotions out. Nothing mindless about him, always was thinking.
This educated, sophisticated man had lung problems for years and only relatively recently "learned" it was lung cancer. No doctor made him get a chest X-ray years ago? This is going down in my book as a bad death, that could have been prevented or postponed.
Please everyone, take care of yourselves and don't be too "busy" for medical attention when you need it.
OMG
