Busy Week

I'm gonna do my best, in spite of all the Real Life that keeps throwing itself in my path, to finish the arrangements for the last three songs on The Last Hero On Earth this week. I'm also gonna do some shifting around of the free files at TSO, and try to get a handle on the next pay-for download, Ends 'n' Odds. All this stuff basically has to be done by Sept. 1, for Dragon*Con. I'd love to have it done a week earlier, but I've gotta schedule vocals with Anne and Karen.

After that, I get back to Sounds Familiar and the revised Big Book, both of which are targeted for Christmas. After that, I'll see which of several possible projects is inspiring me most, and I'll work on that for MarCon.

... My god, I've got a production schedule.

You'll be at Dragon Con, for sure? Glee! I'd like to preemptively request that you play Leslie Fish's "Hope Eyrie". And then call upon the rest of the audience to buy me alcohol, on account of my leave from Iraq will almost be over, and I'll need to keep my spirits up...

Hopefully you don't drink so much that you become more concerned with keeping those spirits down.

Wow. I've never played it before, but how can I turn down such a request? Just come up and remind me right before one of my concerts.

And you also have to play "Falling Free", and "Rocket Ride", and that song whose title I forget, where the super villian is singing about "This ain't over yet", and "Mandela", and, and... Just let me know when my blatent emotional manipulation stops working. ;-)

Now. :) But I'll do what I can about "Mandela" and "Falling Free", although my harmony singing isn't what it used to be?

song question/request...

So... Will that finally include the Wild West show song? (I just got bugged by a friend who REALLY wants that one on CD.) :)

Also, let me know when to send the money in for the next album (and if there are non-download albums, to pass word onto a dealer or two...)

I've gotta get a good live recording of the Wild West Show. I'll probably try to do that at one of the cons I'm going to in the next two months.

The next album will be available when it is. I might have a less expensive CD-R version if I can't afford a CD pressing for awhile. We'll see.

I just helped Roberta Rogow put out a CD-R album made from her out of print tapes. (It was released in May.)

From what I have been hearing and your own comments on the Marcon album, it will sell. I know I plan to purchase whatever is released.

I am going to be asking a friend to catch you at Dragon and see if he can get 24h project #2 on CD-R.

I might be able to get you cleaner source material on a couple of concerts he has recordings of too.. (I now only record tape to .wav files and would send the raw files to you to work on.) I think I sent you a copy of one, a while ago. (Philcon from many years ago.)
