Steven Grant's column at Comic Book Resources, that is. He has a guess-the-theme-of-the-comic-covers contest, which
markbernstein won last week, and Mark graciously used the prize -- promote the web page of your choice -- to hype me. Thanks, Mark and Steven!
Anything you want to promote? Web pages, eBay auctions, upcoming appearances, special occasions, whatever -- go for it.
ETA: Some slight general confusion. Please provide a link in comments to whatever you want to promote. Thanks.

Date: 2009-06-24 10:59 pm (UTC)Maybe I could advertise myself as a discount photographer. Or general factotum for silliness. Or how about an ad for a cabana boy? Hmm...
I think I am getting loopy and should go relax :P

Date: 2009-06-24 11:16 pm (UTC)The initial short-short story went up yesterday, to introduce the world a bit. The start of a longer story will go up in the next day or two.
My initial post talking about my plans for this venture is here: http://wyld-dandelyon.livejournal.com/35189.html

It's that time of year again - when I go fundraising in order to walk a very short distance (3 miles) in the cause of raising money to study/attempt to reduce heart disease. I'm participating in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk.
If you would like to help, contributions of $25 or more can be made with a credit card using the web page:
http://centralohheartwalk.kintera.org/marybertke
Contributions of less than $25 can be mailed to me at:
PO Box 21982
Columbus, OH 43221
Thanks!

Date: 2009-06-25 12:59 am (UTC)And in a beautiful coincidence, I hadn't been able to read this week's installment until just before I saw your post, and this week's is my new favorite (displacing the first installment which is also awesome). I am going to flirt with the outer edges of Fair Use and share the two verses which really hit me where I live:
Never say
she could have done better -
never say
that she was a fool.
Hearts go their ways,
go following rainbows,
heeding no order,
obeying no rule.
Never say
her sunlight was wasted -
squandered on
a spirit to small.
We make the same choice,
over and over,
and if she died alone -
ah, so do we all.

Date: 2009-06-25 01:39 pm (UTC)For people in NJ (and some other states have similar programs) there is Q and A NJ. http://www.qandanj.org/ Live chat reference with a real librarian 24/7.
Open to anyone in the world there is the Internet Public Library http://www.ipl.org/ It contains a large library of links to reputable web sites and provides email reference provided by experienced librarians and librarians in training (who's responses are approved by the experienced librarians before being sent out). Due to the use of student librarians the email reference service is not always available between school semesters.
