filkertomI don't believe I've mentioned this one yet. I spoke with Phil Foglio the other week, and, if everything goes right, and Phil and Kaja approve it, I might have something unparalleled for next MarCon. Four words:
Girl Genius: The Musical.
Okay, a few more words. Girl Genius: The Musical (changed almost instantly from Girl Genius In Concert, which confused the heck out of everybody, as you can see below) is the prospective name of a two-CD set, adapting the first ten issues of the comic book. The style is intended to echo Sweeney Todd In Concert or Moby Dick: The Musical (Complete Recording), in that it will have the entire script. I've already got several songs partly done, and I hope to have a complete rough draft by the end of September. If I get the go-ahead, I'll likely arrange like crazy throughout the rest of the year, and start recording in January.
