Ahhh, the Open-Mindedness

Eschaton aimed me to the Big Brass Blog, which has a lovely example of the fair and open-minded sort of "thinking" going on at Free Republic. In brief, some guy got his knickers in a twist because his priest said in a homily at Mass that he respects the parents of gays and lesbians. The guy grabbed his kids and left, and asked his Freeperville buddies if he'd done the right thing. Their answers are as enlightening as the original post, and you don't have to give Free Republic the browser hit. :)

Update: ePluribus Media has a diary at Daily Kos which is pretty much a compendium of some of the stuff Freeperville has been saying and doing re: Cindy Sheehan. Truly fascinating stuff, if sickening and unintentionally hilarious.
