You got my vote(s), buty a question.. Isn't "Rocket Ride" several year sold? Is the ballot wide open for any song, no matter what year it was written?

Yep.

The only category that has an age requirement is 'Best Classic Filk Song'- in which the song must be at *least* 10 years old.

The reason for this is that filk marketing is still 90% word of mouth- it generally *takes* years for a song to get about enough to garner enough nominations to appear on the Final Ballot.
