Now it gets interesting.

Dragon*Con was pretty darn good; I'd like to go back again next year. Visited my dad; visited [livejournal.com profile] dubheach nowhere near long enough. A little time at Dizzy Whirl. Good trip. Many thanks and hugs to the amazing [livejournal.com profile] huskiebear for... well, for everything.

This week, I clean my place.

This week, I pay my bills.

This week, I finish the last arrangement and, ideally, get the last of the vocals for The Last Hero On Earth.

So, what are you trying to cram into your week?

This week, eh?

Having nothing to do with your question, I have just come from an improvathon of music, and heard, pleasingly, a cry for "Won't somebody sing a walking-along-the-beach-while-you're-slitting-your-wrists-song?"

Um. Packing the last of the nonfrangibles; taking out at least 5 bags of trash, the dead office desk chair, and the dead entertainment center; doing the dishes; eating the remaining food from the fridge and freezer; having the moving company pack the frangibles; having the movers load the moving van; loading up the car; and driving from Cambridge MA to Minneapolis MN. If you add the second week into the mix I'd add starting the new job and finding a new apartment to that.

They're my new employer.

I should've also included that I need to bag-n-donate more of The Sweater Collection From Hell (Grandmama Knits) to charity this week, 'cause shipping over 300 sweaters from MA to MN would be more than a little silly.

Half Life the Musical was quite enjoyable.
As was the look in your eyes when I gave you the couple of ideas.

Muhahahahaha

See you next year.

It was a great Dragon*Con for me. Good to get a chance to (briefly) introduce myself and get a quick conversation with you.

Pay utility bills, pay car insurance bill, and make quarterly estimated tax payment.

Do lots of loads of laundry, and clean the apartment.

Meet new upstairs neighbors and try to judge their tolerance for loud music/TV at various hours of the day and night.

The usual job stuff.

Actually take a weekend off from work and spend it at home instead of a convention, just for a change.

Kick caffeine habit again. Picked it up again in the form of rum & coke, JD & coke, and Inca Kola at Dragon*Con. Been averaging 1 soda a day since then.

Resume full exercise routine as soon as sprained wrist from Dragon*Con feels well enough (still a day or 3 away).

Another boring week for me

Probably just sit around and feel really jealous of those who got to go to Dragon*Con...

You forgot job, unpacking our stuff, The War on The Ants, working on the lawn, collecting and dropping off cloths for Katrina Relief. And I've got a good chance of having to work overtime.

Have a decent birthday tomorrow without paying attention to the GOP fundraising 9/11 memorial specials.
Finish up paperwork for my court case, meet with the lawyer.
Rearrange my classes so that I'm actually taking classes in my major this time.
Send my mother in law back home to Wisconsin.
Start working on the website for The Midnight Thud.
Sleep.

hrm, lesee. helping the boyfriend survive another week of his already-insaneo semester is top of the list, along with working on creative writing for my grad school portfolio, working 30 hours which includes cafe coverage and training fresh meat...i mean new hires, um...oh yeah! figuring out how to go back to uofl as a continuing education student, finish desiging and start shopping for my friends trish and chris's handfasting garb (patterns and fabric), and finishing the sudoku puzzle i started friday. plus finishing cleaning so that my bed can get moved and new windows can be installed, but that's more the next two weeks. so you're quite right, a busy week all 'round.
*hugs* here's good luck to both of us accomplishing our goals.

Hey, I've got a full plate just trying to cram in stuff I need to do today like go into work for an hour (doing stuff I should have done on Friday, but was too bummed to do), laundry, and habitat renewal. And bills. (Automatic bill pay isn't 100% working for me.)

This week is kid-intensive with a doctor appt. for my kid on Monday, and an ARD meeting on Wednesday, that may put my kid into private school.

Glad Dragoncon was fun.

As for me, today I go to comedy class, a funeral, my boyfriend's parents' house for dinner, then to see Bob Saget at The Improv with the free ticket I'll be getting this afternoon (and I'll try to get a freebie for Warren).

Tomorrow I submit a job application to eBay, try to submit a proposal for a contract, find and fill out my unemployment form, and go to work at the new job.

Tuesday I do more job hunt stuff and rest off my vertigo.

Wednesday I do more job hunt stuff, then go to work at the new job.

Thursdsay I do more job hunt stuff, pay my mortgage, and rest off my vertigo.

Friday I rest off the vertigo, then do dinner with friends.

Saturday I work one job from 6am-1pm, drive an hour to another job, work 2pm-6pm, go to San Francisco and do standup comedy, then go south to a friend's party on the way home.

Somewhere in there I'll be dealing with AFTRA stuff and bill paying.

The same thing I do every week, Tom. Try to take over the world!

In other words, interview with the Establishment Media, nice variety; start rehearsals for Rocky Horror; work on costumes for said show, Halloween, and Talk Like a Pirate Day; plan for Katrina relief concert; etc.

Work overtime a lot for pre-Emmy madness [and if that weren't bad enough, there was this widespread power outage in Los Angeles yesterday, putting me two hours behind schedule. Badness.] Pay bills. Carefully dibble out "Firefly" episodes and try to make them last 'til the SERENITY opening night. See press preview of TIM BURTON'S CORPSE BRIDE. [Good thing he's not married at the moment, but you know the minute he gets engaged again, what they will call her!]

And write a "Story Opportunity" for TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY and mention the Very Best Holiday Song Evah! See your direct e-mail for more on that.
