Sadness. Actor Pat Morita, best known as Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid movies and Matsuo "Arnold" Takahashi on Happy Days, has died at the age of 73. Check out that IMDB listing at the first link -- he worked his ass off. We'll miss you, sir.

Damn. I was a great admirer of Morita's. He was in very few films or TV shows that I actually liked, but he always projected dignity and good humor, even in some of his more demeaning little roles. He will be missed.
