Carson Williams of Mason, OH (suburban Cincinnati) likes playing with computers. And Christmas lights. And music. This year's effort was apparently really cool (although it's already been shut down for causing traffic problems), but last year's... goes a little something like this. Have the sound up. And, yes, it's real.

I am now officially filled with the Christmas spirit.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] illusionmajik for pointing this out.

I'd like to add that there was an article on the local NBC website (http://www.nbc4i.com)that the family had received so much publicity about their light show that they have stopped it entirely. The traffic on their street had become a hazard. We also had an article in our local Columbus paper yesterday.

Um. Per Snopes, Wizards in Winter is 2004's show. This one is 2005's. (Not nearly as good, and taken down, also per Snopes, to alleviate traffic congestion.)

Wizards is definitely a wow.

I'd do something like that if I had a house, but more so. Maybe tell a story. How about "Girl Genius: The Holiday Lights Special"? I used to do things like that.

This was in the Cincy Enquirer a few days ago. Unfortunately he's since been shut down as a traffic hazard. Darn it, I wanted to go watch.

Yup, quite the effort. I too was disappointed that that they shut it down, but as they're kind of in a cul-de-sac, traffic was a nightmare trying to get in and out of there.

Apparently the new video is the SECOND of three staged shows Mr. Williams set up--I didn't hear what the third bit of music was, though. Maybe one of the other Cinci posters heard in the multitde of news interviews he's given.
