Y'say you miss those halcyon days when Dr. Demento used to be on your local radio station? Y'say that, even when you can find one of the few Internet stations that plays it, it's at stupid o'clock in the murfle? Y'say that the few archives online are always overworked and you can't download jack?

Well, now you can listen to streaming-audio episodes right from the source. For two bucks a pop.

Well, it took about an hour of listening before it gave me one of Tom's songs ("Aggressively Cute" from "BaGaSOM:T24HP") and about the same amount of time to get one of Luke's ("What's Up Spock [Humptified D-Flo Remix]"). That seems to make it a pretty good mix of known and new stuff for me. I'll give it a thumbs up, and I'll definitely be tuned in on Thursday night.

Well, see, that's the beauty of it. I have the suspicion that popular demand will, um, demand that Doc keep the shows online as long as possible. I anticipate a new server in his future. :)

Is the Doc even on the American Forces Network anymore? It was bad enough having to stay up until 2am UK time and perform minor miracles with my radio aerial to even listen - but having it just vanish one weekend was a total shock! :(
