Huh. It tells me that the movie could not be shown due to 'bad movie atom.'

I am rather puzzled and amused.

I had trouble loading the large version, in both Firefox and IE. Medium worked fine.

Wow.

I can't wait to see this. From the previews, it seems like the got this Alan Moore novel right unlike 'From Hell' and 'LXG'.

Remember, remember...Saint Patty's day?

Too bad it's not coming on Nov. 5th, but Mar 17 is my wife's birthday.

A friend summed it up best: "Remember, remember, the seventeenth of March or something... I dunno... fuck it...."

Oh... Oh, my. When do tickets go on sale? 8)

I was concerned when I first saw that they were making V into a movie, because there's really not all that much "action" within the movie. It's a lot more about the politics and sociology.

But it certainly looks like they got the feel of the graphic novel, at the very least.

It's really scary to see John Hurt on the other side, considering his character in 1984.

Isn't March 17th St. Patrick's Day?

Anyway, I'm really excited about this movie. It looks like Natalie Portman is giving the performance she should have given Star Wars. Plus I'm a huge Wachowski Bros fan like whoa. I even liked the Matrix Sequels and was a beta tester for the Matrix Online game.

I'm also interested in how much free publicity Bill O' Reilly is going to give it for promoting terrorism.

I'm restraining enthusiasm...

Early buzz on the script, etc, was not good, and given the way other works of Moore have been mangled, I'm not holding out a lot of hope for this one. I'd like to pleasantly surprised.

The people who saw the movie at Butt-Numb-A-Thon 7 seemed to enjoy it. One guy from Ain't It Cool News said it was the best movie he'd seen all year.

Plus the Wachowski Bros apparently love this project too much to mangle it.

Although, I must say the choice to have it premiere on St. Patrick's Day is a tad worrisome. Like they're saying, "Please be drunk while watching this movie."

Holy shit, indeed. Extrmely mmody and menacing, and shows all the signs of being the pyschological mindfuck that the comic was.

Pity they couldn't make a November 5th release, but if it's good, I won't mind the wait.
