This is what my best friend and I have called, "Convenience Beliefs"

You believe them until they become inconvenient. Hypocrisy at it's scariest (and most amusing, at times)

Oh, would that doctors would actually do this.

I've often thought that infertility doctors should find out their patient's beliefs on abortion before they start treatment. Then we wouldn't have people who have litters of preemies because they rejected selective reduction.

Ethical infertility doctors do. When I tried IVF, my husband and I had to sign a document stating whether or not we were willing to undergo selective reduction. If we said no, they wouldn't implant as many embryos. Of course nothing would stop us from signing the document (so we could get more embryos and a higher chance of at least one sticking) and then refusing the reduction if it came to that.

I agree that it's a must-read. Just don't touch the edge -- you could get hurt.

Works for me. If creationism is true, God will heal them as a reward for their faith and nobody loses.
