I'm rather amused at "We respect yer starboard t' choose yer own future an' win yer own freedom." Ahh, natural language problem, will you ever be solved?
Garrison Keillor's preface to Good_Poems_for_Hard_Times refers to Cap'n George and company as "a cadre of Christian pirates and bullies whose cynicism is stunning" (and, I might add, contagious, with apologies to the good Christian hearts I know out there who had nothing to do with the coup d'etat or the l'etat-c'est-moi aftermath). For some reason I'm also wondering (very idly) why the current Long John Silver's fast-food slogan is "Yarr, genius," and whether there's any covert statement to be found in the impending release of "Curious George." Then there's fragmentary soundtrack memory from the 1950s TV version of Long John, wondering if the current crew has really managed "...t'fool the wiser youngsters o'today -- so be it. Ha-harrr...."
