Okay, listen. I don't expect you to pick up Doom, and I don't expect anyone at all besides me, [livejournal.com profile] unclelumpy, and [livejournal.com profile] docwebster (okay, and maybe [livejournal.com profile] wwetuesday) to pick up WWE Bloodsport: ECW's Most Violent Matches.

I'm not going to pick up Season One of The Batman (the new animated), although I might get Teen Titans.

But all of you should be hieing thy kiesters over to Best Buy or wherever for the two tremendously necessary purchases of the day: Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Moonlighting, Season Three.

You know. The season with Mark Harmon. The season where Pierce Brosnan shows up as Remington Steele. The season with Big Man on Mulberry Street.

The season with Atomic Shakespeare.

Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!

Someone on Kos commented that Doom is about an unsuspecting family that misses a single credit card payment...

So, you've recovered from the Tim White suicide story incident and are willing to give Vince more money now?

Not blaming you. I'm adding that one to my list.

No, I haven't recovered. I want to see what matches are on the DVD. If it happens that there's nothing I desperately need, then I won't worry about it. And my collection is decently large.

But, dammit, there are a few matches I don't have that I really want.

Moral dilemmas suck.

As far as I can tell, there's no New Jack on this one. How can you call it ECW's Most Violent Matches without the Mass Transit incident?

Hey! What about "The Electric Company"?

And as much as I miss ECW, I probably won't get it. The only wrestling DVD I have is "The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" because seeing that jag-off get humiliated appeals to my sense of schädenfreude.

The season where Pierce Brosnan shows up as Remington Steele.

He DID?! Dude, I thought I saw the entire run of the series when it was broadcast - but I'd like to think I'd've remembered that....

AND Atomic Shakespeare? Oh, man, my tax return can't get here soon enough....

In regards to Teen Titans

You know, I bought Teen Titans Season 1 Sunday from a Comic Book store. I run Heroclix there as a judge and they give me store credit as a bonus for driving out there on the weekends. I saw that in the store and I thought "what the hey I'll get it, at least my wife likes the Titans cartoon." It did not cost me a cent because of the credit, which at first was the whole reason for the purchase.
I gotta say that I actually enjoyed it immensely, sure it's not like the comic book and it's not always serious but it is a heck of a lot of fun.
I was so against the show originally because I thought it could not make up its mind as to if it wanted to be serious or goofy (due to the super deformed anime faces we get in the show) but I warmed up to it and I really like it now.
Just my two cents!! ;)
I actually converse with my students on the playground sometimes about the show and they all ran up to me one day before school screaming that Kid Flash (my favorite Titan) was in the show the other night. And wouldn't you know I missed it!!!

One more thing.......

Just got back from the store where I picked up Wallace & Gromit, will watch it tonight. Yesterday I got "Call of Cthulhu" from a friend. I like fan productions, usually technically better than you'd expect, fun to watch, and with fannish acting (what they lack in skill and training they make up for in enthusiasm and enjoyment), but this also worked as a good tribute to the old silent movies.

I saw this posting at about 8.35 pm, and my brain went off like a Trek:TOS Red Alert Siren. I'd forgotten to go get a Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit DVD!

In the car by 8.40pm.

Back home by 8.55pm, apparently having broken a few laws of physics, but with the DVD safely in hand.

Had it playing by 8.57pm :)
