Wow... Those last few lines. I hope the right people in Washington, including the President, are listening and understanding and agreeing. And if I recall correctly, the news did come in last night that the bill did not pass in the Senate.
I don't see any confirmation for this on the news.
What I do know is, yesterday Bernie Sanders was forced to withdraw his amendment for single-payer without even a vote because Republicans demanded the whole bill be read aloud, which would have pushed a funding bill for the military past the deadline.
In short language, in order to block healthcare reform, the Republicans held the military hostage.
Yeah, well. Such sweethearts they all are. As long as their side makes points, nothing matters. Unfortunately, that's extending to all sides now... except the people who need something more than points. Which would be, most of us.
