I didn't plan this or anything, but it's working out nicely. Thanks to Steve Jackson's Daily Illuminator for the heads-up about... Google Mars. Which led me to check and discover that there is, indeed, Google Moon. (And you really do have to zoom in as far as you can.)

I wonder if it's possible to add fictional locations to this? I've always wanted a Mars map that shows where Marsdome is... the secret Psi Corps base on Syria Planum... the wreckage of Dr. Manhatten's Clockwork Castle on the Argyre Planitia...

Of course, if Google Mars (and for that matter, Google Moon) is as customizable and hackable as Google Maps, some enterprising SF fan may be able to construct that anyway.

Sounds like the perfect item for maximum zoom. Use the pic from Duck Dodgers when Daffy tried to spy on Marvin (the pic is face-on of an angry Marvin with gun pointed at the viewer).
