...the Deluxe Super Enhanced Platinum Extended Directors Limited Edition Final Release Boxed Set With Six Hours Of Extended Footage? I'm hesitant to buy a DVD now, knowing there's almost certainly going to be a bigger & better one in six months.
...don't know anything about the game, but I saw this link on digg.com today and thought you might find it useful:

Just finished watching King Kong, got it from Netflix this morning. Like lizard sf said, there's probably going to be a bigger and better version later on, xmas at the very latest, so I'll buy my own copy then. As for the movie itself, great job! Best thing I liked was how well they did portraying Kong's emotions, much more as an ape than a human in a costume. Also liked how Jackson handled most of the characters, making them much more real than the usual two dimensional stereotypes you get in these types of movies.
Indeed. For me, the film wouldn't have worked -- and would've felt much more like a rather pointless clone -- if not for the relationship between Kong and Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts). She was frickin' amazing, and they truly turned it into a love story.
Anne says that, in this version of the flick, Adrien Brody's character should've been the one delivering the last line to Jack Black. I agree, and I think it should've been something of a slap in the face.
What about....
