Once again, the phenomenal user community of the Garritan Personal Orchestra has come up with a whole album of Christmas music, complete with cover and label art, free for the download. Scroll to the bottom of the page for links to the previous five albums.

Any cool free music you've found on the 'net? Not videos, we'll do those later today.

I mentioned this in one of the "They Recorded This?" comment sections, but it's highly appropriate here: Paul and Storm's 2009 Christmas album, It Might Be Christmas, all original Christmas songs in the style of They Might Be Giants (new song every MWF, don't know how much longer it'll be added to). Available in God's own formats, from low-res MP3 to high-res MP3 to FLAC to ALAC, for whatever price you wish (including free). They also have last year's album up, also for whatever price; see the page for the link.

(Multiple edits to fix things my cold, sleep-deprived fingers refuse to get right.)

Paul and Storm have been doing a nearly-daily release of new Xmas songs in the style of They Might Be Giants - It Might Be Xmas (http://paulandstorm.bandcamp.com/album/it-might-be-xmas). One more update to go, tomorrow! All free to listen to, downloadable as an album, pay what you want, including $0.

I've spent a bit of time listening to Soma FM's Christmas Lounge (http://radiotime.com/station/s_90016/Soma_FM_Christmas_Lounge.aspx) - streaming, user supported. Ambient hohoho.

Ooo, thank you! Thanks to that link, I found that Amazon is giving away Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's cover of Coldmiser/Heatmiser. I wanted a copy of that song :-)
