Date: 2006-04-20 01:09 pm (UTC)We really need as many submissions as we can get. The nominating ballot depends on it.
Lots of people who might deserve a Pegasus. Lots of songs, too. What's everyone else's opinion? We'd like to know!

Date: 2006-04-20 01:10 pm (UTC)There's always at least one showtune or musical medly, some LOUD marching band music, and then a scattering of interesting pieces. One year we did Grand Serenade for an Awful Lot of Wind and Percussion. Hehehe.

Date: 2006-04-20 01:46 pm (UTC)It was just as annoying and dumb as the previews made it look.
And now that this virus is finally out of my system I never have to watch it again.

I *have* to find a carpool for some of my son's activities. Gas is $2.95 a gallon here.

Date: 2006-04-20 03:39 pm (UTC)The terrorists, they can kill me. Nifty.
The government can grind my soul down, make me despised by every other nation on earth, take away my rights and make me a virtual slave, destroy any opportunities I have to better my situation, and THEN kill me.
On my mind today...

Date: 2006-04-20 03:53 pm (UTC)And I've got Latvian tomatoes to plant. And a new camera to play with. And earrings to make. A necklace to repair. Laundry...there's always laundry. Gas prices.

Sooooo, anybody know of any clerical or entry-level IT jobs in the Chicago area? 'Cause I'm thinking that's a sign.

Date: 2006-04-20 06:08 pm (UTC)Would you like to "relive your childhood"?
It's actually very simple...
Get on you hands and knees and CRAWL for a week!
That will remind you of what childhood is like. Everything you want is just out of reach. You have to YELL just to be heard. And every time you turn around, there's another GIANT looming over and telling you what you shouldn't, musn't and can't do.
And that's under IDEAL circumstances! That's not even taking into account things like war, poverty, famine, genocide, disease, molesters, predators and an untold MILLIONS of other horrors this world can provide.
Is it any wonder why the world is in such a sorry state?
Childhood is enough to damage anyone.

Date: 2006-04-20 09:13 pm (UTC)Nerd Needs Cameraperson
Date: 2006-04-20 09:18 pm (UTC)Here is the deal. I need to video tape myself attending Penguicon and generally being a nerd. I have a friend in Wyoming who I PROMISED to send them a tape of the next Con. I went to. Unfortunately, both my primary and my back up camera guys backed out at the last moment. So, If you are planning to go to Penguicon and would be willing to help me out I would be eternally grateful. I could probably pay you a little and feed you too.
I have a couple of things I want to make sure are filmed (Dancing for Geeks) but I am pretty flexible. If you think you can help please email dploski@ameritech.net or call 248-477-1791 (ask for Joe) Yes, I know you never post that stuff in public but I am desparate.
Tom, thanks for being such a nice guy and letting today be open forum day. I look forward to seeing your concerts.
