Technical Question on "Sins of Commission"

Does anyone who got this hear a high-pitched whine during any of the last six songs? Because someone has told me they hear it, and I can't hear it. If you do hear it, how are you listening to it? iPod, WinAmp, MPlayer, Windows Media, Real, what?

Yep, I can hear the whine on "The Very Secret Diary." Pretty piercing, too. I'm using amaroK on Gentoo Linux, but it's on my iPod too.

I can't hear a whine, either on my computer using iTunes or on my iPod.

I hear it with WinAMP on my PC (Audigy2) but it's not always consistent throughout the song. It comes and goes although it is there for most of the song. It's also quite prominent on my iPod.

I first noticed it during the "Bonus Track" from And They Say I've got Talent, and to me it seems clearly part of the vocal track, when the vocals stop off it goes away completely. I meant to email you about it, really I did...

In the Secret Diary of Dark Wolf it seems to be more pronounced during breaks in the music, but it's always there in the background. I think the music just masks it a bit.

I knew I should have listened to SoC earlier; it's good stuff!, now to go find some Tylenol for the headache it gave me...

Yep. Also on the whole downloadable Last Hero album. It cuts in and out with the mix .. I assumed you'd left a line on somewhere on one of the recording days and it just didn't get noticed.

I hear it piercingly with headphones of any sort, via PC, iPaq, or CD player. Don't usually notice it without them, though.

If it helps, I can listen to Last Hero again and take timing notes.
