They're Region 4, released so far only in Australia, and the one's momentarily out of stock -- but Watership Down and The Plague Dogs have been released in spiffy new DVD editions. The Plague Dogs disk is apparently the first time it's been seen uncut since the initial release.

Oy. Every time I hear the words "Watership Down," I get flashes of the movie in my head and get all freaked out. I don't know how young I was when I saw it (I saw "Poltergeist" when I was 5, so...), but it's stuck with me as a really upsetting childhood experience.

So I'm sort of eager to see it again. =P

"Thunder from Down Under" is the name of one the of male strip shows (uh, I mean, "revues") in Vegas...mixing that with Watership Down really hurt my head!

Totally irrelevant to the topic at hand (Yay Watership Down!) but I thought you might be interested in this, if you haven't seen it already...

Apparently, someone discovered that the rules of the US House of Representatives (as set down in Section 603 of Jefferson's Manual of the Rules of the United States House of Representatives) are written such that the legislature of any state can force initiation of impeachment proceedings simply by passing a resolution "transmitting" charges to the US House.

Yes, that's right - any state.

Of course, that isn't the end of the ballgame, it's just the opening pitch. But at least the game might finally get started.
