I'm thrilled. Because in the end I didn't want the special effects or the bonus material or anything else like that. I wanted the movies that changed my life!
So assuming I go ahead and buy this, I will have the original LaserDisc set, the original VHS set, the re-release VHS set, the re-release VideoCD set, the re-release DVD set, and then the "original" DVD set. Maybe it's time to get rid of some...
Oh ... hell yeah. This makes my morning (esp. since I missed my chance to see baby panda). If you hear a high-pitched scream from up New York way, that's just my friend Emily celebrating. :-) Thanks!
Cripes. My initial reaction was "hey, Lucas is finally listening to his fans", but really, I wouldn't be surprised if he had this planned all along as a way to extract even more money from a loyal fanbase.
Not sure yet if I'll buy it. But I'm glad it's out there.
there's really no such thing as the original release anymore.
With all the releases the prints were updated routinely in the early years with better sound tracks, and obviously the first time out Star Wars was just Star Wars... not Episode IV.
I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I'm talking about the three scenes that were altered between the original release and the second release. I want them put back and George will never do it.
