That was excellent. If only the mainstream media would follow her example. Because, of course, Rachel's preaching to the choir with her viewers -- that fact-checking gig needs to be adopted by the newspeople that the average Joe watches.

Yeah, *GASP*.

Sigh. Remember when that was sort of a badge of honor among journalists? Back when they *were* journalists and news reporters. Or, at least, a lot more of them than there are now.

And WTF with Hoekstra running for Govenor? He's from my side of the state, city of Holland, and belongs to the Reformed Church of America, the same as me. (hides head in shame). Thank goodness I'm Democrat.

He's probably a good friend of DeVos, who was defeated handily in the last election. Hope we got a good Democratic candidate (goes to look).

I didn't think the church elders would allow a Democrat through the door! They've gotten liberal eh?

Oh, you mean me. LOL. Yeah, my folks have always been Democrats, because they were both in the auto union. I don't know where my brother and daughter went wrong, lol.

I'm just hi-jacking Tom's LJ for a moment to tell you I read your profile page. I grew up in Hudsonville, went to the public school there, and now reside in Wyoming. Michigan, that is.

I'm also a Michigan person.

But yes Rachel Maddow is made of the win.
