And, if you've never seen it, it's high time you did: Sandy Collora's fantastic fake trailer, World's Finest.

(Frankly, I think Lois is hotter here, too.)

He's got the right look, but he's not a particularly good actor. Kind of wooden. That's the problem, finding someone who would fit the part of Superman, who can actually act his way out of a paper bag. Too many of the guys out there who fit the first part depend on their looks, and don't actually do a very good job of acting.

That's not to say that there isn't someone out there who could do it. It's just that I don't know that he's been "discovered" yet.

Not a great actor, no, although I didn't think he was bad. But, yeah. There have to be more guys who have the look and the acting chops.

So okay, here's the question, then. Leaving aside anyone who has already played Superman in any visual medium, who would you have cast instead of Random Mush... I mean Brandon Routh?

I love this stuff. Why are more industry producers not keeping track of the fan films for some of the real talent to be found there? OK, there's some real non-talent and I'm hitting myself as well as a lot of other half-actors out there with this comment. But still. Love answers for Experience, many times. That's the definition of "amateur", someone who does this thing for Love.

See what can be done when you DON'T have to kowtow to the Hollywood system?

I would pay to see that movie. It's got the right feel to it. Too bad it's not real.
