Looks like I'm doin' a Pennsylvania two-fer this year. You already knew I'm going to AnthroCon next month. Well, I've just accepted a gracious invitation to be Special Guest at PhilCon in Philadelphia, Nov. 17-19.

The web site is under construction, and the most important bit of info it has right now is slightly out-of-date: The Wyndham Philadelphia at Franklin Plaza Hotel is undergoing a name change (it's becoming a Sheraton). Just mention "PhilCon 2006" when you make your reservation and all will be well. It's at 17 Race St, Philadelphia, 19106, and the phone number is (215) 448-2000

Woohoo!! PhilCon's a great one for filk, largely thanks to the efforts of Ben Newman ("Dragon For Sale"). I've been to 4 in a row and I'm looking forward to this move to November. And now I can look forward to an unexpected "Tom" con on my schedule!

AC was at that hotel last year, Very nice place with an excellent staff. There's a really nice Pizza and Grinder place catty-corner across the street from there.

Cool. I almost always go to Philcon, and I'm even happier now that it's back to its "traditional" date.

Sorry it's not going to be a Wyndham though. I have a guest card for Wyndham, Holiday Inn, and Marriott, but not Sheraton.

I just found out that our website will be drastically updated before the end of the month. Hopefully at that point we will have the info from the hotel to let people register for their rooms online! So, yes, more info about the con is coming down the pike shortly.

Also, Philcon DOES have it's own LJ community, at philcon. So please let people know that they can go there to check out the latest news!
