Whoa!!! Who exactly owns this property? Last known owner was Revlon - don't ask me because I don't understand it either.

This is great news! My collection of files carefully gathered over the years is now worthless, and I couldn't be happier about it. Thanks for the heads up!

While the animation was only one step above Clutch Cargo, there were some damn fine episodes, well worth seeing.

Not to mention the Kzinti. TAS was either hit or miss as far as SF goes - the shrinking crew and backward time episodes really bit it. But "The Slaver Weapon" is, imho, one of the best SF stories in any medium anywhere.

I love both of those, and also "More Tribbles, More Troubles".

TAS is probably the _Star Trek_ I'm most familiar with---TOS wasn't shown much in syndication when I was growing up ( at least not in the "fringe reception" areas I lived in---this was WAY before cable came in, folks), I wasn't quite old enough for TOS when it was first shown, and never got into Next Gen, DS9, or the other spinoffs.

I'd love to see an animated _Star Trek_ with really good animation; I remember that the animation on this version was pretty basic.

In my teenage years, when there would Never Be Any More New Star Trek Ever, it wasn't all that bad. Who knew?

"Yesteryear" was considered the one TAS episode that was "canonical" with the original series timeline. I think that was a bit unfair to the other follow-up episodes "More Tribbles, More Troubles" and "Mudd's Passion" but there you go.

*EXCELLENT*!

The British author Dave Rogers likened TAS to a radio drama. The animation and artwork was poor, but if you turned off the picture and only listened to the sound, there were indeed some damn fine stories there.

I only barely remember those episodes, from when Nickelodean was running them (I was somethingteen or just under at the time.) I remember the one that introduced the holodeck, and the one about Spock's pet, and...crap, that's it. I think I read the novelizations of a few (the "Star Trek Log" books) as well...

I also remember thinking it was disturbingly cool when DC's Star Trek comic reintroduced that three-armed guy and the other whatsit. I believe that was either Peter David's doing or just before he took over the book.
