Date: 2006-05-30 03:25 pm (UTC)"Yesteryear" was considered the one TAS episode that was "canonical" with the original series timeline. I think that was a bit unfair to the other follow-up episodes "More Tribbles, More Troubles" and "Mudd's Passion" but there you go.

Date: 2006-05-30 03:32 pm (UTC)The British author Dave Rogers likened TAS to a radio drama. The animation and artwork was poor, but if you turned off the picture and only listened to the sound, there were indeed some damn fine stories there.

Date: 2006-05-30 04:27 pm (UTC)I also remember thinking it was disturbingly cool when DC's Star Trek comic reintroduced that three-armed guy and the other whatsit. I believe that was either Peter David's doing or just before he took over the book.
