It's interesting how Snakes has already developed a 'cult classic' following and the movie hasn't even been generally released yet. Has that ever happened to any other 'cult classic' movie before now?
Also, also: Snakes on a Plane best since "Batman and Robin" How about comparing it to kitchy "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes"!
You must understand two things: First, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was pretty much intended to be a spoof. It was also made for, what, $1.98? Batman and Robin, while campy, was neither a spoof as such nor a small-budget film.
Second, it's all in the oy of the beholder. Anne, Leslie and I saw Batman Forever, and had such a joyous time making fun of that stupid movie that we were actively hoping B&R would be as bad... and it was worse. We laughed till we cried, and then we laughed some more.
