Keelhaul Fowler Sez ARRR!
Jul. 21st, 2006 09:23 amAll right, ye swabbies, I'm feelin' piratical this mornin'.
First, we saw that new movie last week, an' I ain't had time ta discuss it. If ye hasn't seen it, what're ye waitin' fer? It's fun an' exciting, an' th' script is way the hell deeper than it has any right t' be, given that it's a PIRATE MOVIE. The performances are very good to excellent, and Keira Knightley is a very worshippable goddess even if she needs a coupla damn sammiches, and I love all the characters, and the direction and music and design are all top-notch, and DON'T LEAVE TILL THE BLASTED END O' THE CREDITS, ye bilge rats!
Now then. Me fine wench Beth reminded me of th' Pirate Name Generators, male and female. If I just put in "Tom Smith", I get "Evil Fowler"... but me full name gets "Keelhaul Ivan". So I'm splittin' th' difference, an' ye can call me "Keelhaul Fowler". Aye, I like that. So what do ye get?
An' don't ferget -- less than two months ta Talk Like A Pirate Day!

They had a Ninja do it, but to be fair they said that the next Ninja movie would be reviewed by a Pirate.

WTF? That's a pirate disease, not a pirate name...
.
.
.
OK, let's try the next most common variation...
Cutthroat Obadiah
Ok, sorta better, but it's more like a psychotic Mennonite.
.
.
.
Let's move on down the list...
Deadeye Scarlett - uh, no
Frosty Cruikshank - that's a Harry Potter character, isn't it :)
Geedunk Wench - What's with all the female stuff on the male name gen?
Buccaneer Smythe - hmmm...
Buccanner Smythe - still thinking...
Hey, I LIKE that one - and go figure, it winds up coming from my most common online nick :)
