My esteemed FuMP-mates Rob Balder ([profile] partiallyclips) and Tim "Shoebox" Crist ([profile] wormquartet) have brought a devious little scheme to fruition. So that he can concentrate on his amazing Erfworld, Rob has passed his strip PartiallyClips off to Shoe. This... should be an interesting ride.

Time once again for new strips you think are keen. Link 'em up. If there's a lot of backstory, a little synopsis would help. Particularly if it's Sluggy Freelance. I have no idea what the fuck has gone on in that strip for over two years now.

Wow, go Shoebox. Luck to him.

As to a recommendation, the creators of the recently-completed Fragile Gravity (http://www.unseenllc.com) (recommended as well, but not my focus now) have just started an interesting-looking strip called Sledgebunny (http://www.sledgebunny.com/). (And Tom, said creators will be at Marscon Williamsburg this weekend, so...)

Good luck to Shoebox! I've been reading Partially Clips for years and he has a high standard to meet.

In Sluggy, Riff and the girl that turns into a camel got teleported to another dimension. The girl (sorry I forgot her name) is probably dead since we haven't seen her. The world is permanently doped up on happy drugs and Riff's counterpart is in charge.

Meanwhile Torg refuses to believe Riff is dead and is trying to raise funds to build the Dimensional Flux Agitator. To that end the gang got hired as minions to the Minion Master and is now doing his "evil" bidding (and helping themselves to whatever tech and cash they find along the way).

Daisy Owl (http://www.daisyowl.com/) - tiny new strip which deserves far more attention. Contains bugleface, space babies, and other associated wackiness.

So awesome. Daisy Owl kinda reminds me of a kid-friendly Achewood. Same quirky sense of humor, and a somewhat similar look to the art, but more seen through the logic of a child than the bizarre impulses and needs of an adult.

That is an excellent method of describing it. Thank you! Like Wingus below, I was failing at wordification.

Skin Horse, by Shaenon Garrity and Jeffrey Wells. It's about a secret, black ops, government social services agency. The most normal character is the cross-dressing former army captain psychologist. The head of the agency is a swarm of sentient bees.

I fail at wordification, so I'll just copy the synopsis from the site's About page:

The Merle kids, upon moving into their new home, discovered a magical wish-granting rodent-like character, visible only to children, already living there. Fueled by licorice, Weesh grants whatever wish comes to the kids' minds. Tate, the middle brother, is a font of bizarre wishes, often steeped in science fiction lore. Olivia, the youngest sister, leans towards flights of fancy and everything pretty and innocent. Last, but not least, Zoey, the eldest daughter, wants everyone to just leave her alone.

It's generally episodic, small three-strip week-long plots. Is cute, kinda reminiscent of Calvin and Hobbes to me.
