Modem got fried by the storm last night. It also got water in my foyer. All this in a ten-minute window. Sheesh. The biggest inconvenience, though, was simply dealing with AT&T. SBC at least had their shit together. AT&T is just shit.

So, how's your tech day going?

Yeah I know they merged. My understanding (limited though it is) is that certain parts of the business have to be kept separate. I am not sure which departments have to be separated from others. I know that where I work, DSL is separated in all but the customer facing departments (sales) YMMV yadda yadda yadda.
