Hmmm...I get it, but it doesn't strike me as _that_ funny. It's cute and clever and all, but not ROTFL material.
I'm a big Piraro fan, mind you. He's remarkable guy, very funny, and a brilliant artist (check out the "fine art" section of his Web site. I had no idea he had such a gift for oil painting!).
Maybe I'm just not enough of a comics fan. I suppose if it were, say, a Sondheim reference of the same caliber, it would get me.
Anyway, seriously, check out http://www.bizarro.com/. There's tons of stuff there I hadn't seen before.
