I sincerely hope I will have the iTom song posted sometime tomorrow. But it may not happen until Thursday.

I have been doing tech support and eBay training for my father for most of the past four days.

I... am a little tired.

So, how's your week going so far?

There's a new Weird Al album, and a new Terry Pratchett novel. It's a good day.

Um, if you don't mind...don't wish that. Last weekend was Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and I spent it back in New York with my family. I love my parents to death, but it helps when we're two hundred miles apart...I don't really want to spend another fifteen years living under their roof. *grin*

I suppose it could be worse. If you'd wished it to stay next Monday for fifteen years...next Monday is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the most holy day in the calendar...and a fast day.

But I'm sorry your week is sucking so far.

Which reminds me: Why do they call it a fast when the day goes so slow?

My mother is back in the hospital, heading for the nursing home tomorrow, and on my way to visit her today, my car broke down. Good thing I've got country music and Dial-a-Prayer. (obscure song ref, for those who don't know)

LOL, your comment makes me think about teaching my dad (who learned to type on an Army-issue typewriter) how to use a computer...even today I get the phone calls..."How do I save it as..." And so on.

Anyhoo...coming off two great weekends and a kick-butt music festival, and I'm up to my ears at work...and personal life stuff...and doing laundry...and doing this that and the other...argh! What I wouldn't give to sleep until my body decides to wake up.

Other than that...not bad at all. Contradiction, no? (LOL, hey, I'm allowed to be like that)

I was promoted to a temporary coach position about a month ago at the call center I work for. This was a good thing for me. I've been proving to the client, my co-workers, and my new boss that I'm right for the job. I'm actually proving to be better than some of the existing coaches there.

Today one of our clients pulled out. What this means for me is that I don't know what I'll be doing on Monday. Any chance of turning my temporary promotion to a permanent one has disolved.

But I bought Badgers, Gophers, and Squirrels yesterday so I have some new happy music to help keep my spirits up. :)

Lets see.

Car broke down Sunday - broken tie rod. While driving down 12 Mile.
But then my uncle in law came and towed it away to fix it.
And only charged me for parts - $20

But when I went to pick it up today he was late to his son's house with the car, so we had to hang out for a while. And they have a dog.

And my daughter is extremely allergic.

Driving 35 miles with a crackling, wheezing, gasping child is not my idea of fun. Note to self: If you don't know if someone has a dog or not, assume they do and bring the inhaler.

Next week is my birthday, though! And I'm still young enough to think that's a good thing. (31)

As I said in the comment above, this weekend was Rosh Hashanah. Jewish New Year. I went home to be with my family, which was, as always, both relieving and stressful.

This week has been good so far. Heroes looks good, I love Studio 60, and the episode of Eureka I'd expected to be a stupid, cliched disaster was anything but.

(And I don't even watch much TV. It's just been a good week for the shows I do watch.)

Well, the new job is working out well, but I still haven't gotten over the burnout, so after work is still brain dead time.

Got another friend hooked on World of Warcraft, prefect thing to do when too braindead after work to be productive.

Scored a Jake Thackray CD at the used book store a couple days ago. Yay!

A new Pratchett book? Woo-hoo!

Also hear Jerry Lee Lewis has a new CD out. I'm curious if he's still got it.

And Target store that is on the way home from work just started carrying my favorite frozen pizza ;-)

Talk to you later

Well, besides working the second 6-day week in a row (I get Thursday off), I've been through agony with a friend in the hospital who has no insurance. Now it seems that, instead of giving her surgery to control a hernia on her intestines, they're giving her antibiotics and sending her home uncut. In other words, they're delaying the inevitable, hoping that the next painful attack will kill her instead of having to give her the health care that every American ought to have as a matter of course.

Okay, anger and rant off.

Aside from that, I'm wondering what exactly your father is going to be selling on eBay. Can you give us a hint?

I know it's not a Spike/Buffy song, since you wrote it before the BtVS TV series started, but it just fits them too damned well. Have you seen enough Buffy to have an opinion on the topic?

Okay, a little. They don't have much at all to do with each other, so I really don't worry about it.

If you ever get the chance, watch the season 6 episodes "Once More, With Feeling" and "Smashed" -- that will give you a quick idea what I'm talking about.

Hell, watch OMWF anyhow. :-)

Or, of course, Once More, With Hobbits....
