More Musical Coolness
Dec. 1st, 2006 04:27 amFirst things first, kind of important because of the timing: Those of you (like me) who've been considering getting one of Garritan's big three -- the Personal Orchestra, Jazz & Big Band, or the Stradivari Solo Violin -- they're having a group buy. Starting today, ending Dec. 21. Normal price $199 each, likely final price for this sale $139.
Second: If you'd like to hear what the Garritan Personal Orchestra sounds like, or if you'd just like some excellent music, there's a whole Christmas album for free download. (If you scroll down, they've got albums from the two previous years as well.)
Third: If you like ambient/trance music, Psychetronica has made their entire first album, Beyond the Wall of Sleep, available for free download.
Fourth: And, if you like that, you should really check out The Ambient Collective.

Date: 2006-12-01 06:40 pm (UTC)A couple of weeks ago, I was in Kroger, when I heard John Denver's voice coming over the muzak. "Callypso," to be precise. At first, I started singing "Callisto," but not too loudly. I didn't want to run into diehard Denver fan who might accuse me of committing blasphemy.
But after I stopped singing, I tuned out the muzak, and I started hearing something else in my head. It was John Denver -- singing "Callisto."
