I'm not Pro-Bush, but I am sick of all the Anti-Bush comments. It gets annoying. Ok, you hate the man, I get it. Don't need to beat the dead horse.

It's why I don't like going into political discussions, I KNOW I have a different opinion that everyone else I know. ANd I get my head bitten off because of it.

You would say "Keep your opinions to yourself" but is that the pot calling the kettle black? You hate a man who you clam wants to take away your rights, yet want to deny me my own rights to my opinion.

The right to you expressing your opinion is complimented by the right of others to express their opinions as regards that opinion.

Much in the way that you posted in Tom's journal so that you could make a negative comment as regards his own political views, you yourself somehow pretend it's persecution when the shoe is on the other foot and someone is disagreeing with your views. As far as I can tell, someone telling you to go choke on a pretzel as an obvious Bush joke isn't really very far from you walking into Tom's personal space so that you can tell him that you think that he is a "sad human being" along with everyone else who laughs at the same joke.

Recap: You have the right to be a dick. Tom has the right to be a dick. No one is being persecuted, but there's no "Right" to call someone a sad human being without reprisal. That's not free speech, that's speech without consequence, and the constitution never guaranteed that one for anybody.
