Very cool. I'm now subscribed. =)

And cracking up over C is for Lettuce.

Although, while I love Worm Quartet, it is a bit fast, and the music sometimes overpowers the lyrics, so can be hard to understand. Maybe a link to lyrics, or something?

They're working on lyrics, and quite specifically for that song. Shoebox was worried about it. :)

Lyrics are in the MP3 itself. Check the ID3 tags. Unless I screwed something up they should be in there.

Ah! So they are. =) Never thought to look there, and my first listen was off the website, in my browser. Cool, thanks, and *smacks own forehead* I should've thought of that.

Considerding lossless (ie FLAC) downloads at all? Also wondering if my being in NZ would be an issue with a level 2 subscription.

There hasn't been any discussion about lossless downloads although I'm not opposed to it. We did talk about possibly using even higher bit rates for the premium download (ie. 256k) but the issue was brought up about file sizes.

I'll do some research into the lossless downloads and see what we can come up with.

And just so you know compilation CDs with full CD quality sound will be available once we get enough songs to fill one.

Yeah I figured the CD would be the alternative to lossless, that is why I asked about my being in NZ, if it would be a cost burden on shipping.

I'll find out what shipping a CD to NZ will be. One of the selling points of the Level 2 subscription was going to be free shipping on the CDs. As long as it's not cost prohibitive we might still be able to do it.

It's about supporting you guys, but not having it bite you guys at the tail end. Depending on what you find out, perhaps an 'international lev 2' subscription with an extra buck or so added to account for postage.

oh, and perhaps make the spambot test clearer, I figured it was a gag for the strangest answer, especially coming from a website dealing with ShoEboX!

from the bits I could understand, it sounds like a pretty funny song. How does one dig the lyrics out of the ID3 tags?

If you can't figure it out (or if your chosen mp3 player doesn't read these ID3 tags,) I've posted the lyrics here: http://wormquartet.livejournal.com/89551.html

The player that came up was Quicktime, but I usually listen to MP3 music with Windows Media Player. I'll admit despite the fact that I am a PC Support tech, I'm not terribly experienced with the nuances of MP3. I hope to remedy that sometime soon- I have a huge collection of CDs I need to deal with, and might even get an MP3 player.

Have you guys considered podcasting your songs through iTunes/LibSyn?

There is a podcast feed posted on the site. I'm going to submit the feed to iTunes as soon as I have a moment to breathe. I don't know how LibSyn works, but I'll be submitting the cast to as many places as I can.
