Okay. That stupid scumware purple ape that infested so many computers several years ago. Was it pronounced "Bonzee Buddy" or "Bonzai Buddy"?

Everyone I know, and in all the tech shows I've watched/listened to/passed out to, have pronunced it "Bonzee"

ahhh, in that case I heard it pronounced both ways (And probably more), but I believe Bonzee was the official pronunciation

I was a professional computer tech at the time this idiot proliferated, and I never heard an "official" answer, but it was the opinion of people at our store that the correct prononciation was BonZEE. But that certainly didn't stop customers coming in and calling it BonZAI.

I think it was a nuclear/nucular thing, really. Wonder what the Chimp called his?

I've only ever heard it pronouced like the miniature tree: bon-zai. This is the first time I have heard anyone pronounce it bon-zee. I wonder if it is a regional thing (I am in the Boston area).

Personally I hated the chimp but really liked the predesessor the parrot. Of course once they upgraded to the chimp you could not keep the parrot. Wasn't this whole thing part of something called the SNAP network?
