Ba-Con So Far
Jul. 10th, 2011 11:10 amLong, fun day yesterday. I was a little tired and cranky in the morning, but getting some BACON! helped matters. The Bacon Brunch was fun and tasty, and we hung out with some nice folks. After that I went downstairs, set up the table, and went nextdoor for my concert. Mark Peters, running sound, was pleasantly surprised by my having a pickup.
Judi and I did about 50 minutes, which we thought went pretty well, although the audience was... relaxed in their appreciation. It was still appreciation, and it was fun, and we finished with "The Here And Now" because of the Sub-Genius panel following after.
I spent the rest of the day -- basically till about 7:15 -- in the dealer's room. Fun talking with James Hatton and other folks, singing about a half-dozen songs, getting many hugs from Roberta and Judi and Mary Bertke (who showed up with her lovely red mandolin). BJ brought me Pepsi and salty carbs, and all was well. And it turns out that James is one of the people behind the hypothetical Evil-Con that might manifest in New Jersey next year, so we had a lot to talk about.
Got back to the room, had a burger, hanging out with Les and Dan and Janet, and then to bed.
Today is my second concert, and an hour or two in the dealer's room before we shuffle back to Washtenaw County.
How's your weekend going?
