South Park has never "mocked both sides equally" but it's downright idiotic to assume that it's conservative propaganda, as you imply it is. Sure, I don't agree with a lot of its claims, but the show is a lovely work of genius in its own right and it's tactless to attack it for what it chooses to mock.
(and this is directed at the main post, not your comment, lumpy) Oh, and one has to be a completely hopeless idiot to believe that there has been or has ever will be a single positive result of the war, or a positive end. No matter which road we take at this point, there is no conceivable bright future. That doesn't mean we should give up and fall into a nihilistic pit of dread, but we really shouldn't be expecting anything good to come out of our efforts to fight evil. As long as the corporations and the rich bastards control everything, and as long as the government is set up so they can, and in every country on the planet, there's no way the righteous (yeah, I know, it's a laughable word, but I shall type it anyway) can win. And there's never been a single instance in human history that suggests otherwise.
