Not only was Lawrence nominated for the Campbell, but John Scalzi (last year's winner of the Campbell) was nominated for Fan Writer, for his blog! AND he was a previous Best Novel nominee!

So now, you can be a Fan Writer AND a Pro Writer at the same time! I like that, since most pros are also fans! *grin*

As far back as the 1960s, Piers Anthony was nominated in both fannish and pro categories, and about a decade back, David Langford won both fan writer and short story award in the same year.
