Anne turned me on to the group [livejournal.com profile] iconzicons, which, among many other talented folks, features the work of [livejournal.com profile] mrbnatural. In specific, an ongoing series of Choose Your Own Adventure icons. Not particularly safe for work.

What would you like to see as a Choose Your Own Adventure?

For those who were planning to ask: CYOA erotica already exists. I have one such book in my collection at home. I'll try to remember to post the ISBN number when I get home tonight.

As an icon, "Life"

(I'll let you cogitate on that one *smile*)

For books, I'd like either someone to come up with a hard-boiled detective novel or point me in the direction of one from the CYOA series.

I had one when I was growing up that was a western story.

I would like to see a Wiki-type of CYOA, where people could add on their own text, links, images, sounds, etc., and other people could edit, submit improvements for consideration, and so on and so forth. Then we'd have a continually growing, ever diversifying adventures that would continue to have new material.

Palenoue, you may want to check out http://www.1000000monkeys.com/ (http://www.1000000monkeys.com/). Not a CYOA project, but collaborative writing.

Thanks for the link! Looks fun and I'll definitely check it out soon. Wish there was something like this around before my massive burnout, I'd have been a regular contributor.

I'd like to see one more oriented for adults. I loved those books as a kid but grew out of them. They tried by having super-sized adventures (thicker books) for teens but there weren't many of them. I did like their sci-fi / alien adventures and would like to see more of them.

How about an e-book of one with links so you won't be limited by page number? Better yet, have it save your progress and reveal more of the tree as you read so you know you've taken all possible routes. And as long as we're going an electronic route, how about customizing your character and have him/her appear in the pictures?

How about that isbn number kilbia? :)
