ponderoid reminds us that the Dr. Horrible soundtrack is now available at iTunes. What's your favorite song from it? Mine is "Brand New Day", although "Laundry Day My Freeze Ray" and "On The Rise My Eyes" are both right there. And the "Bad Horse" numbers. And the big climax scene, "Slipping". And....

Oddly, not so fond of the first act songs. Except Bad Horse, which I memorized.

Just wanted to tell you - I was at the Jim Henson Boyhood Museum in Leland, MS., yesterday. The woman in charge wanted me to tell you that you made her sob like a baby - and she loved it.

The official song titles, lyrics, and liner notes are available on drhorrible.com (http://www.drhorrible.com/linernotes.html). I only guessed wrong on three of the titles. I wonder if Joss & company picked "My Eyes" just to make sure nobody got them all right. :)

I spotted one significant goof in the posted lyrics, where it misattributes who sung part of a line in "So They Say." Also, whoever typed them up doesn't know when to use a semicolon.

Hard to choose. On any given day, any song might rise to the top. But I most often find myself humming "Freeze Ray" the Freeze Ray section of "Laundry Day" or "A Man's Gotta Do".

I think the Bad Horse Chorus may be how Bad Horse communicates with the world, a la Riva and his Chorus from "Where Silence Has Lease" on "Star Trek: the Next Generation."

I have to go with "Incredibly Tight Rhyme Scheme Brand New Day" as well. I love how Neil Patrick Harris hangs on the word "die" each time it comes up, as well as the downshift in intervals on "I'm a funny guy" at the end from the first two times the same phrase appears--makes him seem more menacing. :)

I adore "Brand New Day" as well, but I get them all stuck in my head at random points of the day.

I jumped on the downloads, and I've been having it on in the background on HULU (the whole show) because it really ramps up my creative juices -- darn you to heck, Joss Whedon! 8-)
