One Day More

Another day of high humidity,
And Weather Channel-based stupidity,
These men who seem to know my climes can't nail a forecast anytime
One day more....
- This killer heat's supposed to break,
If all of us don't break before it,
If Mother Nature is awake,
Please send some rain, we're waiting for it.

One more day before the storm,
By then I'll have no lawn or garden,
Temps all well above the norm,
And my sunscreen melts away....

One day more....
- One more day to cooler weather,
We will nip it with some Bud,
I will join these little poolboys,
They'll be caked in baking mud!
- Watch 'em sit and sweat, watch 'em faint and sprawl,
Watch 'em grab the Gatorade and drink it all,
Here a little sip, there a little glug,
Look! that little nipper just inhaled a bug.

Weather patterns gone berserk,
Every day will be a sauna,
If there's no A/C at work,
Don't call in, nobody's there....

My place is here, inside the pool!

One day more!
Tomorrow is a rainy day,
If not then there'll be hell to pay,
Tomorrow we'll discover what the Weather Channel has in store...
One more dawn, one more day,
One... day... more!
