Home Again, Home Again

InConJunction was good fun. Many thanks to per_solo, Con Chair Tony, Treasurer Drew, gopher Pieter Built, and just a gang of great folks, who were very kind and helpful to me all weekend. I appreciate it a lot. And I'm sorry I only did one song at the filk last night, but I was wasted. Between Wild Mercy, Juanita, and Moonwolf, though, it seemed to go quite well. :)

Much cleaning to do this week, as well as finishing up three count 'em three commissioned songs. And then....

Arrr... Not Really

Got an e-mail from someone who was surprised and dismayed by the Avenue Q bootleg video thread the other day. To paraphrase, the person wanted to know what I'd do if it were me -- would I want crappy camera phone videos to be representative of my work? And saying that the person who created those bootlegs was doing the producers and cast of Avenue Q a great disservice, especially given how readily available the soundtrack is. The missive started with, "Well... I guess I won't have to go buy tickets now to the show."

If you were a mad scientist, what would be your greatest triumph? Anything -- good or evil. But give a reason. Saying "I will rule the world" isn't enough -- you have to say why it should be you ruling the world. For myself, my greatest triumph would be some form of sustainable long-term youth and health... allowing people to maintain a decently fit twenty-seven-year-old body (including dental health) for an extra thirty to a hundred years.
