Received in e-mail this morning:
Hello,

What I want to discuss with you now is so delicate that it's really
hard knowing how to proceed. More also, I'm so desperate that I don't even
know who to trust. Well, I'll rely on my intuition over you. My name
is Asif Ali Zardari, late Benazir Bhutto's husband. Owing to the
unlawful seizure of my late wife's assets here in Pakistan and overseas by the
current govt of President Musharaf despite existing court injunctions
forbidding this, I now seek your assistance in good faith towards the
transfer of a yet to be discovered money into your care. This will be a
job, but it can be done. There is something for you at the end. I
assure you. As we proceed, you will get to know everything about the money
which will give me the credibility and believability I need to convince
you to be of great assistance towards my family.

Finally, now that I have taken you this much into confidence, make sure
it does not go further. I'm sure you'll understand. Please do revert
back asap.

Asif Ali Zardari.
Any good spam out your way?

And to think that, just yesterday, I was lamenting to myself that I don't keep up on the entertainment world like I used to.

In the midst of everything else, this morning I'm having a Friending Frenzy for The FuMP's MySpace page. And I found a link to Vanessa Carlton's.

You remember what happened last time I listened to something by her. But, since it's been a few years, I decided to give her another chance, with one of her new ones, "Hands On Me".

She's gotten worse. My god, she's gotten worse.

I know there's good current pop music out there. Please tell me, and us, where.

I've been braindead most of the day, so many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] joecoustic for catching something I'd missed: And excuse me if I go off for a minute.... )

Intel's profits are up 51%... "but its shares plummeted on signs that the world's largest semiconductor maker is feeling the pinch of an ailing U.S. economy".

Everything, everything is immediate bottom-line profit for these airheads. And a few people who don't see the Greed-O-Meter spiking like they think it should can literally fuck up the economy.

Discuss.
