Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom
Mar. 21st, 2008 01:53 pmThanks to
markbernstein for the 2008 Hugo nominations. Once again I'm woefully behind on stuff, but
shsilver is up for both Best Fanzine and Best Fan Writer, and the Best Novel category is like a Who's Who of Who's Hot, between Robert J. Sawyer, John Scalzi, Charlie Stross....
My choice for Best Dramatic (Short Form) is, hands-down, "Blink". Long form, a little trickier, but probably HP and the Order of the Phoenix, which was much better than I feared it might be.
And, of course, many congrats to Phil Foglio, who's up for Best Pro Artist.
A question: Does Brad Foster actually still count as a "fan" artist!? I first saw his stuff in pro gaming magazines back in the late 1970s.
Your thoughts on the nominees?
