For a bit over a week, my internet has been stupid slow.

As in, about one-twentieth the normal speed.

As in, damn near dial-up, rather than The Fastest DSL AT&T Has Which I Pay For Dammit.

This has delayed several things. And caused me no end of annoyance.

Fortunately, my experiences with AT&T are much like my experiences with Disney: hate the corporate masters, love the minions I interact with directly. Thanks FSM. 'Cause taking two minutes to load Yahoo simply ain't no fun.

Any good service stories lately? Alternately, any internet horror stories?

• If you've been thinking of getting some of my download albums, this is a good time to do it. Nothing special -- just the end of the month coming. :)
• This Saturday and Sunday, I'll be at S.M.A.C.C., the Southeastern Michigan Arts and Creativity Conference, at the Doubletree Inn in Dearborn, MI. $5.00 to get in online, $10.00 at the door. Lots of creative types there, including Carl Lundgren, William Messner-Loebs, and our own William Waldrop. Various indie films, dancing, and music. I've got a set at 5:00 p.m. Saturday.
• Also close to home for me is Jason Contardi, a friend of a friend, who does landscaping. The promo he's got for his one-page web site? His own yard.
